Pro-government agents have rejoiced that the General Commander of the Ambazonia Defense Forces, ADF, a separatist group fighting for the independence of the North West and South West regions of Cameroon, self-styled General Efang, popularly known as 'Big Number' was allegedly killed in an ambush by members of Cameroon military, earlier this week. This information was debunked on Friday by the media wing of the Separatist group, Ambazonia Governing Council. The attack on the camp of General Efeng, happened three weeks after a prominent fighter, General Saviour surrendered to the Cameroon military.A former ADF Deputy Commander, Capo Daniel, who is now the founder of the Ambazonian People's Advocacy Platform, said he had warned that the General should be careful, but he doubted their security because they had executed innocent people in Guzang. Though Capo said General Efang had died and been replaced by General Capo, the group has debunked these claims. In October 2023, ADF fighters summarily executed two civilians, alleging that they were spies working for the government of Cameroon. Capo in an outing said the blood of these 'innocent' men has been haunting the ADF, whose fief is well grounded in Batibo, Momo division in the North West region. He also said the killing Momo SDO condemns arbitrary killing of two civilians in Guzang - Cameroon News Agency pushed the civilians to reveal the hideouts of the Ambazonian fighters for elimination. After this incident, the traditional ruler of Guzang called on villagers to vomit the separatists and protect themselves Killing of two civilians: Fon of Guzang condemns act .Source: Cameroon News Agency
