By Biwah BryanThe Indomitable Lions will face the Copper Bullets of Zambia in a friendly on January 9, 2024, in Saudi Arabia.The encounter will serve as a final tune-up for both teams prior to the Africa Cup of Nations.The two teams have so far met five times, with the Indomitable Lions winning twice, drawing once, and losing on two occasions. Majority of the encounters have been competitive, including World Cup qualifiers.The Copper Bullets are in Group F of the AFCON, along with Morocco, DR Congo and Tanzania, while the Indomitable Lions are in Group C with Senegal, Guinea, and Gambia.In addition to Zambia and Cameroon, eight other friendly matches are scheduled prior to the tournament. Nigeria will play two friendlies against Burkina Faso and Cape Verde. Ghana will face Botswana, while the Pharaohs of Egypt will play against Tanzania.Other pairings include Burkina Faso versus the Democratic Republic of Congo, Senegal versus Niger, and Angola against Guinea Bissau.
