By Muluh AlfredThe Atlas lions of Morocco finished their second match in the AFCON tournament with a dramatic face-off between the Atlas lions and the Democratic Republic of Congo.The chaos sparked During a heated exchange between Morocco's coach, Walid Regragui and DR Congo's captain, Chancel Mbemba when Regragui made a racist comment that flued the outrage.Mbemba later commented after the incident saying, 'Those remarks were unacceptable and uncalled for. I believe coach Regragui will address the situation accordingly. On my part, I always show respect for everyone on the pitch, including the coach.'The tension between the two escalated after the final whistle as Regragui and Mbemba were involved in an argument which had to be separated by match officials.As seen in a video circulating on Facebook, the players from both teams got caught up in the dispute, leading to chaos on the field.Morocco, one of the favorites to win the tournament had a bright start with a goal from Achraf Hakimi who conne cted with a Hakim Ziyech corner just 7 minutes into the game to take the lead.Congo's Cedric Bakambu missed a penalty before half-time before Katompa Mvumpa scored late in the 76th minute to secure a point for D.R Congo.Morocco currently leads their group with 4 points, followed by D.R Congo with 2 points .Source: Cameroon News Agency
