Mali went on to take the lead at the 71st minute, before two late goals from Ivory Coast secured their spot in the semi-finals.South Africa beat Cape Verde on penalties 2-1 after playing a scoreless draw against the blue sharks on regular time. In a dramatic turn of events, goalkeepers Ronwen Williams made four saves to qualify South Africa for the first time in 24 years.Two time African Nations Cup champions, DR Congo overcame an initial 1-0 deficit to defeat Guinea with a score of 3-1 and advance to the semi-finals.The semi-finals of the AFCON will begin on Wednesday February 7th, with the host country set to lock horns with DR Congo while the super Eagles of Nigeria will cross paths w ith South Africa's Bafana Bafana.Source: Cameroon News Agency
