Angola is participating in the 111th session of the International Labour Conference (ILC), taking place from 5 to 16 June at the headquarters of the International Labour Organisation (ILO) and at the UN palace, in Geneva, ANGOP has learnt.
The agenda includes normative issues about learning, a recurrent discussion on the strategic objective of social protection of workers and a general discussion on a just transition towards ecologically sustainable economies and societies for all.
The programme also includes a high-level event scheduled for 14 and 15 June, related to the launch of the global coalition for Social Justice.
The event will bring together tripartite constituents of the ILO (government, employers and workers), international organisations and other relevant actors, aimed to intensify efforts related to the achievement of social justice in the world.
The Angolan delegation, led by the minister of Public Administration, Employment and Social Security (MAPTSS), Teresa Rodrigues Dias, also includes the Permanent Representative of Angola to the UN, Margarida Izata, and specialists from the Ministry.
Also integrating the delegation the Industrial Association of Angola (AIA), Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Angola (CCIA), Federation of Women Entrepreneurs of Angola (FMEA), National Committee of Women Union of UNTA-CS, Angolan Union Force (FSA-CS) and General Central of Independent and Free Trade Unions of Angola (CGSILA)
