Separatist fighters on Monday, May 20, 2024, killed the Mayor of Belo council, Dr. Ngong Innocent together with the Inspector of Basic Education for Belo and one councilor.CNA learned they were attacked on their way to the grandstand in Boyo, for the National Day celebration.This tragic incident highlights the dangers faced by public officials in conflict-affected Divisions, where separatist violence poses a significant threat to stability and security.
