Boulkiemde: A partnership was formalized on Tuesday between the Sabou town hall and the Humanitarian Relief Organization (OSEH) for the construction of a new, fully equipped maternity ward. Sabou is preparing to host a large-scale project to improve its sanitation infrastructure. The project also includes the creation of an independent water station.According to Burkina Information Agency, during the signing ceremony, the chairman of the special municipal delegation, Abdoul Aziz Koara, expressed his deep gratitude to OSEH and its financial partner, the Human Rights and Freedoms Foundation of Turkey. Mr. Koara emphasized that this initiative is the result of sustained advocacy to meet the needs of the medical center, whose old maternity ward, built in 1960, no longer meets current standards.This new building aims to transform the working conditions of healthcare staff and, consequently, to guarantee better quality care for the population. The PDS Koara has also invited the inhabitants of Sabou to become ac tively involved in the realization of this project.The signing of the agreement took place in the presence of many local personalities, including the Chief Medical Officer of the Sabou district, Dr. Mariata OuEdraogo, as well as representatives of traditional leaders, women, technical partners, and civil society.
