Burkina: An American university trains 28 international trainers in leadership and organizational management

The international training of trainers in leadership and organizational management provided by Impact University of Leadership and International Development (IULEAD), aims to provide educational resources to learners and equip them, among other things, for a paradigm shift.

According to the trainer, Professor Israel Foumane Meba, it is ‘a revolution in our way of thinking’.

Professor Foumane invited learners to ‘leave the old habits of ‘we’ve always done it this way’ and think differently’.

He defined two types of thinking, namely lateral thinking and vertical thinking.

In his opinion, people who are ‘lateral-minded’ are those who can ‘expand’ and people who are ‘vertical-minded’ stay ‘square’ in their habits.

From his point of view, the latter refuse change and are still in ‘we have always done it this way’. They thus refuse change which brings hope in a constantly evolving world.

Other modules concerned research methodology, communication and adult education.

Training participants received certifica
tes in leadership, coaching and management.

For the trainer, Professor Israel Foumane, the objective of this training is to provide a critical mass of facilitators capable of being deployed throughout Burkina for the transmission of knowledge.

‘We are ready to impact our families, our social groups and Burkina Faso for a paradigm shift,’ said Pastor Philippe W. Yaméogo.

Pastor Yaméogo leaves this 72-hour training seminar equipped with the knowledge to positively impact others and thus create a society of peace and prosperity.

‘All the people who participated in this leadership training are now considered Missionaries. They are responsible for helping others to change their mentality, to no longer see the other as an enemy, but as a brother, and to help them so that we can together, hand in hand, build our dear homeland. , he added.

The accountant, Florence Nikiema, followed the training with great satisfaction.

‘I feel able to share the knowledge acquired around me,’ she said.

At the end of the trainin
g, a committee representing Impact University of Leadership and International Development (IULEAD) was set up in Burkina.

This committee is responsible for providing all the necessary information to students who want to register to follow university courses at IULEAD.

He is also responsible for undertaking the administrative procedures for official representation of the said University in Burkina Faso.

Courses at IULEAD are taught online, face-to-face and in hybrid mode.
