The Cameroonian Volleyball Federation has been rocked by a scandal involving allegations that its members have impregnated five players from the national youth female team.The Federation's legitimacy has also been thrown into question, with two presidents claiming to be the rightful leaders ( Serge Abouem and Bello Bourdane)Serge Abouem, who claims to be the legitimate president of the Federation launched an investigation into the pregnancy allegations, distancing himself from any wrongdoing while accusing the opposing president and his staffIn a statement released by Abouem, he stated that FECAVOLLEY (Cameroonian Volleyball Federation) is not concerned with the 'tumult of affairs' and that the alleged immoral behavior is the responsibility of 'certain impostors' who are not affiliated with the Federation.In response to Abouem's statement, Equinox Television interviewed several women's volleyball team members, including Marie Julia, Sandra Kenfack, and coach Luc Marcel of the U19 team, as well as Jose ph Liboire, coach of the U17 team. All of them denied engaging in any sexual acts and confirmed that they were not pregnant.Meanwhile, President Bello Bourdane has filed a complaint with legal authorities against those attempting to tarnish the reputation of the Federation. 'We will not let anyone undermine our hard work and dedication to developing volleyball in Cameroon,' he said in an interview.Bello Bourdane happens to be the president recognized by the minister of sports, and also internationally but Serge Abouem who was reselected as president after his first mandate claims he is the legitimate president and has the fédérations Matricule.Source: Cameroon News Agency
