The Publisher of Le Jour newspaper, Haman Mana thinks that Cameroonians are afraid even of their own shadow and cannot demand for their rights. He referred to the unlawful arrest and detention of Junior Ngombe, saying that when he, Haman posted about the issue, he received low engagement as no one was ready to add his voice for the freedom of the civil rights Activist.'When I heard about this story, I made a post on my Facebook wall, to get information. It arrived in dribs and drabs. A dozen or so likes… I announced the book I was writing about the hostages and received a few timid reactions… This morning, I'm surprised by the outpouring of hurrahs on the web, in a case where most of Cameroon's Facebook community had tucked their organs between their legs.'By not reacting, asking for the freedom of the young man who was arrested for asking Cameroonians to vote the Biya regime out of power, Mr. Mana thinks that Cameroonians 'live in a village of small-minded people who are afraid, even of their own shadow . Yes, we're picking on the shadow, while the prey circulates and devours.'He concluded that if he made a post with his picture by changing the hairstyle, he would receive much engagement, ' I'll post my new haircut and you'll see how interesting it is…'Junior who spent a few days in the custody of Gendarmes in the nation's political capital, Yaounde, was freed on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, with the help of former Bar Council President, Barrister Akere Muna, and colleagues.Source: Cameroon News Agency
