Clergy Urges Leaders to Unite for National Development

Kisii: The National Presiding Bishop of the Pentecostal Church of God, Jefferson Nyatuka, has urged leaders in the country to unite and concentrate on service delivery. Speaking to the press in Kisii town, Nyatuka emphasized the need for leaders to focus on addressing the challenges currently faced by Kenyans, particularly in the health and education sectors.

According to Kenya News Agency, Nyatuka highlighted the importance of not allowing the country to be divided along tribal lines. He encouraged leaders to preach unity and work towards safeguarding the nation. Furthermore, Nyatuka called for the independence of the church and cautioned the clergy against being used by the political class to cause division among Kenyans.

Kisii County Evangelical Alliance of Kenya Chairperson, Charles Isaboke, expressed concern over the increased political activities in the country. Isaboke urged the political class to reduce political engagements and focus on promoting development.

Similarly, Kisii House of Bishops’ Presiding Bishop, Robert Nyamwange, called for cohesion and peaceful co-existence among Kenyans as the country prepares for the upcoming 2027 General Elections. Nyamwange encouraged eligible citizens to register as voters to elect leaders with integrity.

The clergy delivered their messages after attending the funeral ceremony of Eunice Mwangi, the mother of Kisii Pentecostal Church of God’s Apostle Damasco Mwangi, who recently passed away.
