A 70-year-old man was killed by bandits in Lolmisingiyoi village in Samburu County after resisting their attempts to steal their goats.The deceased Aroi lekopole was killed after he fought off the raiders who ambushed their Manyatta during the attack.Confirming the killing the area chief Philip Lerno told KNA that an unknown number of suspected cattle rustlers made away with five heads.He decried the state of security in the area such killings had persisted for far too long and asked the national government to act decisively to bring the mayhem and bloodletting to a halt.Chief Lerno confirmed that the body of the deceased was taken to Maralal Hospital mortuary where another victim of a similar attack in lolmolok one day ago was taken.Meanwhile, residents in affected areas are fleeing to safer grounds for fear of attacks along longorate,longewan, lolmolok loosuk, porro, and morijo where an MCA was killed sparking protest over the alleged failure of security agencies to restore peace in the troubled z one..Source: Kenya News Agency
