Suspended captain of the Equatorial Guinea senior football team, Emilio Nsue, has made shocking allegations against the country's football federation, citing incompetence, embezzlement, and mismanagement by the authorities.The AFCON 2023 topscorer did an Instagram Live with teammate Iban Salvador on Friday, following their indefinite suspension from the national team.Emilio said the team had problems throughout the tournament in Ivory Coast.The captain disclosed that the equipment used by the national team was paid for by the players, adding that before the match against Nigeria 'there were no outfits ready'.He further pointed out that the leaders embezzled over one million euros of their AFCON prize money.He said the federation leaders are 'illiterate', noting that he will not be part of the team as long as the leaders are not changed.The forward criticized the federation for not honouring his accomplishment as top goalscorer of the AFCON 2023, and sanctioning him 'without explanation'.The fed eration is yet to react to the player's outing.The Nzalang Nacional were eliminated by Guinea in the quarter-final of the AFCON after an outstanding performance.
