Gendarmes summon Maurice Kamto, associates


The president of the Cameroon Renaissance Movement, Prof Maurice Kamto has been summoned to appear at the West Gendarmerie Legion alongside Albert Nzongang and Andre Marie Tassa, all officials of the party.

The CRM President who is currently out of the country is expected to be heard on Thursday July 11 at 2pm while the two others are awaited on Wednesday July 10 as read in the summon letter.

According to private media, Equinoxe, the politicians are summoned as a result of a complaint filed against the party by former party militant, Noumba Joseph who claims to have spent FCFA 80 million in the West Region in the name of the party, is demanding a reimbursement.

Maurice Kamto is currently in the Netherlands, at the Hague Academy of International Law where he presented an inaugural lesson at the summer courses which opened on Monday July 8.

Gendarmes could also use this as advantage to quiz Kamto on a recent outing which he said he is ready to perish with the country should the regime continue to exercise p
olitical witch hunt.
