The project, dubbed Misambi ultra-modern market, is being funded by the national government under the department of housing and urban development through the economic stimulus programme in conjunction with the Homa Bay County Government.The governor stated that the market development programme aims to enhance economic activities in the county and subsequently empower residents financially.Additionally, Wanga said the Dreatec Enterprise project, which aims to benefit residents of Kabondo East Ward and Homabay County, is set to be completed within six months, adding that similar projects have been started in Sindo, Kijebi, Luanda Nyamasare, Ndhiwa, Kobodo, Rodi Kopany, and Kendu Bay Town.Governor Wanga said the projects will offer job opportunities for residents, particularly the unskilled manpower, and urged residents to be patient, reiterating her commitment to deliver on campaign pledges.The event was also attended by the national government regional engineer Jared Otieno and Rachuonyo East Deputy Co unty Commissioner Job Kemey, who urged residents to secure the market and keep it clean.Source: Kenya News Agency
