Governor wants greater contribution to Cabinda’s development


She said so during a meeting that she held with the province’s academic class, as part of her programme to listen to local civil society.

For Suzana de Abreu, academics have an intellectual repertoire that must be applied to leverage the province’s socioeconomic development in the most varied areas.

She said that it was only through open dialogue that the main concerns of the population could be resolved gradually, and reiterated the provincial government’s commitment to continuing to implement more actions with a social impact for the benefit of local inhabitants.

‘We want participatory governance, where all social actors in the province should discuss the main problems affecting our population in an open manner,’ he said.

On the occasion, the rector of the 11 de Novembro University, Kianvu Tamo, reiterated his institution’s commitment to continuing to train quality young people to contribute to the development of the province and beyond.

In turn, the director general of the Lusíadas Higher Polytechnic
Institute of Cabinda, Joaquim Rodrigues, highlighted the partnership between higher education institutions and the different sectors in the search for specific solutions in favour of the population.

This is the first meeting that the governor of Cabinda has held with the academic community in the northernmost province of the country
