The Regional Delegate of Public health for the North West region, Dr Kingsley Che Soh has declared that a patient has lost his life after most probably consuming a herbal mixture sold under the brand name JIGSIMUR. The authority said the product's commercialization has not been authorized in Cameroon. Laboratory investigations are also still ongoing to determine the real content of the bottle.In a release from the public health official on Monday February 19, 2024, Dr Kingsley Che Soh advises the population to avoid consuming the product until the results of the investigation are out.He continues by saying that a good number of patients diagnosed with multiple organ failure admitted in some health facilities that they consumed the mixture and a second death has unfortunately been recorded.The delegate has adavised that the ppulation refrain from consuming mixtures and medication bought haphazardly and not tested by competent authorities.Source: Cameroon News Agency
