Ouagadougou: The populations of Dano participated in the cleaning of the gutters on Saturday August 10, 2024 for the 4th time, at the call of the PDS of the said municipality.The president of the special delegation (PDS) of the commune of Dano, Denis Zanré, organized a sanitation and gutters cleaning campaign in the town of Dano.Since July 13, the populations of the town of Dano have mobilized four Saturdays in a row to clean the gutters and collect the earth that was blocking them.Dump trucks, tractors and motorcycle tricycles transported the garbage and soil to the dumping sites.The High Commissioner of Ioba province, Bernadette Adenyo/Sermé and all the bodies constituted effectively marked their participation in this sanitation operation initiated by the special municipal delegation of Dano.The PDS of the commune of Dano, Denis Zanré, welcomed the constant remarkable mobilization of young people and especially women.According to him, this campaign is part of the presidential initiative for comm unity development. He thanked the provincial authorities for their effective participation and the economic operators for their support.For the first manager of the Ioba province, Bernadette Adenyo / Sermé, this activity is part of the preventive measures against the occurrence of possible floods. Similar operations should take place in other municipalities in Ioba.This accompanies the implementation of the relief organization plan (ORSEC) in each constituency, she specified. Ms. Adenyo urged residents of at-risk areas to take measures to avoid material damage and especially loss of life caused by the heavy rains forecast for this year.During this sanitation campaign, residents near the gutters and other users were invited to no longer use the gutters to deposit garbage and plastic bags.Source : Burkina Information Agency
