A 56-year-old man accused of defiling his nine-year-old granddaughter was on Wednesday arraigned before court in Embu.The accused Joseph Njeru is alleged to have committed the heinous act on November 17 at his home in Muconoke Village in Embu West Sub- County.Njeru denied the charges before Senior Resident Magistrate Joanne Otieno and will remain in custody till December 5 when a probation report on his suitability to be released on bond will be presented before court.The suspect was arrested after his wife allegedly caught him red-handed defiling the minor after coming back from the farm and reported the matter at Itabua Police Station.Source: Kenya News Agency
