Man dies in head-on collision in Zambezi Region

A 28-year-old Namibian man died when the vehicle he was driving collided head-on with an oncoming vehicle on the Katima Mulilo-Bukalo road on Sunday.

Namibian Police Force (NamPol) Spokesperson in the Zambezi Region, Inspector Kisco Sitali told Nampa on Monday that the accident occurred at 18h00.

The deceased was dentified as Munyalumbu Immanuel Munyalumbu by relatives.

Sitali said the deceased was the only occupants of the GWM at the time of the accident, while the Ford Ranger had five occupants who were all rushed to the Katima Mulilo State Hospital and were in a stable condition.

“The GWM went up in flames causing its occupant to die,” he said.

Munyalumbu’s next of kin have been informed and police investigations continue.
