Migori: Migori residents, Friday night, lit candles in Migori town Central Business District (CBD), to mourn the late Prime Minister, Raila Amolo Odinga. Led by Migori County Orange Democratic Party (ODM) Secretary Joseph Onyango, popularly known as ‘Olala’, County Executive Committee Member (CECM)-In-Charge of Water and Energy, Sylus Odira, and Migori County ‘Bunge La Wananchi’ President Charles Osewe, they described Odinga as a selfless statesman, whose leadership and vision illuminated Kenya’s path toward democracy, peace, and unity.
According to Kenya News Agency, the leaders expressed deep sorrow over the loss, saying Odinga’s passing had left a void, not only in the country’s political landscape, but also in the hearts of many Kenyans. The event concluded with a call for national unity, with speakers urging Kenyans to honour Odinga’s memory by upholding peace and solidarity across the nation.
