Naana Ohui Osamahem Ametor I, Queen of the Kudzragbe Clan of the Ada Traditional Area, has urged the people of Ada to cherish the promotion of peace and unity, emphasising its crucial role in fostering development.Naana Ametor made the call during the Royal Walk at the Asafotufiami festival, organised by Pace Setters in collaboration with the Ada Traditional Area.She stressed that without togetherness, the people must forget about development, stating that 'we need to unite and fight for development rather than claiming superiority over each other.'She said Ada had unique features, such as the estuary, which makes it a subject of admiration for others both at home and away.'The biggest law and commandment of God is 'Love.' If you love your neighbour, it will be difficult for you to sin against him or her. We have a lot of tourist attractions, resources, and recreational sites here in Ada. We really need development, but without unity, we won't get development,' she stressed.She recounted how two yo ung women fought over a seat in a commercial vehicle but ended up in the same house upon arrival at Ada, stating that they were one people who must not be divided even when there are disagreements.Touching on the Asafotufiami festival, she said the 2024 edition was more spectacular than expected which she attributed to the unity of the people.Naana Ametor further appealed to all the people of Ada to seek redress from leaders when they feel offended rather than avoiding each other, which could later lead to creating enemies for themselves.Source: Ghana News Agency
