Narok County Records A Significant Milestone In The Health Sector


Narok County has continued to record significant milestones in the healthcare sector as it aims to provide quality health services in the establishment of new healthcare dispensaries in the county.

While commissioning Shankoe dispensary during his development tour in Shankoe ward, Kilgoris sub county, Governor Patrick Ntutu said the county has continued to record major developments towards healthcare in order to improve the delivery of health services to the residents.

He said the area has a large population and there is a need to build a dispensary to improve healthcare services to the residents.

He added that the county government planned to employ over 300 health officers in the next fiscal year to boost the service delivery in the healthcare centers in the county.

The governor urged the residents to make use of the facility because it is fully equipped with medicines and healthcare officers.

On her part, the Chief Officer in charge of the health department, Jane Kiok said the county government has c
onstructed several dispensaries in the Shankoe ward; Shankoe, Irmeshuki, Osinoni, Olelengo, Ololchani and Entargeti dispensaries.

Kiok lauded the governor for development since he took office, adding that the sub county has over 155 health officers and 36 support staff in the sub county of Kilgoris.

The area Member of County Assembly, Moses Yampoi said the ward has focused majorly on healthcare during the last years County Integrated development plan engagement.

The facility cost the county government Sh.14 million and will strengthen the health sector to ensure all residents have access to all the health services they need.
