Homa Bay: Homa Bay County Director of Education Eunice Khaemba has assured of a credible Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination as 35,025 candidates sit for the respective test papers in the county. Khaemba stated that the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) has taken extensive measures to ensure a secure examination process, with this year's exams being uniquely packaged to include candidates' personal details on every paper.According to Kenya News Agency, Khaemba emphasized that each candidate has a personalized examination paper, preventing them from using any other paper apart from the ones provided. This measure aims to curb the movement of exam papers and maintain the integrity of the examination process. Additionally, KNEC has ensured that no extra papers are packed to eliminate the possibility of pending copies.The Director made these remarks in Homa Bay town following the release of examination materials to 354 examination centers. These centers will cater to the county 's 17,484 boys and 15,541 girls. Khaemba assured that preparations are in place, with center managers, invigilators, supervisors, and security teams briefed to prevent examination irregularities and deliver a credible exam.Khaemba noted an improvement in logistical challenges compared to previous years, stating there are no cases of hardship. Unlike before, when exams were taken to hospitals and prisons, this year, movement has been limited to prevent potential malpractices. She added that candidates who are sick but able to sit the exam will be transported to the school, contingent on proper medical guidance.Khaemba concluded by stating that everything, from the transportation of examination materials to the personnel involved in the administration of the KCSE exam, has been well-organized to ensure a smooth examination process.
