Machakos Deputy Governor Francis Mwangangi has announced an open-door policy aimed at enhancing relations and engaging with potential investors.Speaking during the launching of Mabati Rolling Mills (MRM) Branch and showroom in Machakos town, Mwangangi, expressed that Machakos policy of opening doors and cooperating with investors has positively impacted development.The speaker acknowledged MRM's decision to select Machakos for business, stating it will boost the local economy and revenue by generating trust and confidence for potential investors.'Machakos County has intensive opportunities for investors across all sectors of production,' said the Deputy Governor.Mwangangi highlighted the need for increased investment by the county government and private sectors to address the housing deficit in Nairobi metropolitan.He however swore to deal ruthlessly with those selling counterfeit building materials such as asbestos that are destroying the business for hardworking and genuine investors in Machakos.Lastly, he encouraged the county government and National government collaborative efforts that will enforce strict measures in curbing the selling of counterfeit building materials and encouraged residents to buy building materials only from reputable suppliers.Source: Kenya News Agency
