Otjiwarongo-based business mogul, Theo Borstlap, who runs the popular Theo SuperSpar at the town, died on Tuesday morning in a hospital in South Africa, where he was admitted after sustaining fire burns over two weeks ago on his body at his farm situated on the outskirts of Otjiwarongo.
His family members announced his death Tuesday morning on social media platforms.
‘It is with a very sad and heavy heart that we need to inform you that Theo Borstlap, our father and pillar of our strength, passed away this morning at 04h42,’ said his family.
The 68-year-old Borstlap owns several businesses at Otjiwarongo, including the Etemba Plaza Shopping Mall.
His funeral arrangements will be announced accordingly in due course, they stated.
