Eastern Regional Commissioner Paul Rotich has called for collaboration between the public and security agencies to ensure safety during the festive season.He said it was this partnership in exposing and reporting crimes that will essentially see to it that the region and the whole country at large have incident-free festivities.Speaking from his office in Embu, the RC called on everybody to play his/her part well in maintaining law and order, as security begins with an individual.Consequently, he reported that they had deployed adequate multi-agency teams across the region and called on members of the public to cooperate with them to maintain security throughout the season.In traffic management, the regional boss called for consistency in obeying traffic rules by motorists to avoid accidents.'It is not solely the role of security officers to make sure we have no accidents on the roads, but a collective effort from everybody,' he said.He reported that all law enforcement officers who were on leave had been recalled to beef up security across the region in a bid to ensure public safety was maintained.
