Kisii: Kisii-based side Shabana FC suffered a third successive defeat at home on Wednesday after falling 2-1 to AFC Leopards in a thrilling match at Gusii Stadium. The Glamour Boys, as they are popularly known, started the game with high intensity, and Austine Odongo scored the opener in the 10th minute.
According to Kenya News Agency, the AFC Leopards’ coach Fred Ambani made tactful substitutions at the start of the second half. The equalizer came in the 72nd minute through captain Victor Omune. Ingwe snatched the late winner from a corner delivered by Jeff Kinyanjui, which was tapped into the back of the net by a Shabana player.
The result leaves Shabana in seventh place with seven points in the standings, while AFC Leopards are in fifth with nine points, just four behind league leaders Kakamega Homeboyz, who have played an extra game.
