Simba Corporation has opened a new dealership in Thika Town in an effort to expand its presence in the Kenyan market.Swanley Motors entered the market with the launch of a seven-tonne truck, aiming to establish a strong presence in the competitive 7- to 10-tonne truck category, which saw a total of 1,378 units sold in 2023.According to Naresh Leekha, Managing Director of the Motors Division at Simba Corporation Group, the introduction of the vehicle will be instrumental in expanding the company's presence and advancing its growth in the Mount Kenya and Eastern regions.'The introduction of the Ashok Leyland Ecomet model in Kenya addresses a significant gap in our product lineup and solidifies Simba Corporation's position as a complete transport solutions provider catering to the various requirements of Kenyan customers.''The versatile truck will retail at Ksh. 4.5 million and can easily be converted into a 29- or 33-seater bus, allowing it to tap into the public transport market.' Added Mr. Leekha.S imba Corporation, through its subsidiary Deluxe Trucks and Buses, aims to expand its market presence by offering a range of solutions such as hardware, mattresses, water tanks, and other logistics services.Simba Corporation's Chief Commercial Officer, Mohamed Varvany, announced that the company would offer financing and other incentives for the new Ecomet Truck, including an after-sales assurance of a year warranty or 500,000 kilometers, in order to boost sales.'Businesses typically budget and plan for purchasing investments at the start of the financial year. With the current financial year coming up, this will allow us to begin cultivating relationships with new truck customers at this ideal time.''In today's economy, customers are searching for a reasonably priced truck that they can confidently present to their financing partners with assurance that it will perform successfully.'
