VIHIGA: Vihiga Governor Wilber Ottichilo has called for a national dialogue focused on fostering national cohesion and socio-economic development. He urged the President to convene a national forum, including representatives from all interest groups, to develop a roadmap for political stability and economic prosperity.According to Kenya News Agency, Governor Ottichilo emphasized that collective efforts are essential for achieving inclusive socio-economic growth. He praised the President for his outreach to other leaders to promote collaboration for the common good. Addressing residents during the Jamhuri Day celebration at Chango Secondary School grounds in Vihiga Sub County, Ottichilo assured that his administration would continue striving for the efficient and effective delivery of goods and services.The Acting County Commissioner, Florence Sitawa, urged residents to uphold law and order during the festive season. She called for cooperation with security agencies, emphasizing the importance of providing timely and reliable information on activities threatening security. Sitawa noted that a multi-agency team comprising county and national government officers has implemented measures to ensure adherence to law and order.
