Three teachers lost their lives in two different accidents, within a one week in Cameroon, leaving the educational community in deep sorrow.
The first incident occurred on February 13 on the Yaoundé-Douala highway, where two young teachers, Mayoudom Djohou Auriane Sonya and Ayissi Bella Norbert Hervé, both esteemed educators at CES de PAN-MAKAK, met a tragic end.
Reports indicate that the teachers were returning from classes when their vehicle collided with two heavy trucks, resulting in a fatal outcome.
Mayoudom Djohou Auriane Sonya, known for her dedication to teaching Physics Chemistry and Technology (PCT), and Ayissi Bella Norbert Hervé, respected for his pedagogical prowess in Life and Earth Sciences (SVT), leave behind a legacy of passion and commitment to education.
As the educational community mourns the loss of these two educators, another tragedy struck in Obala, Centre Region, where Ngaga, a French professor at CETIC de Yemkout, met a similarly untimely demise. While working in his field, on F
ebruary 15, Ngaga was tragically crushed by a falling tree being felled by a chainsaw operator.
The Director of CETIC de Yemkout expressed profound sadness at the loss of Ngaga, describing him as a dedicated colleague whose absence will be deeply felt by all.
The collective grief over the loss of Ngaga and the two young teachers highlights the fragility of life and serves as a stark reminder of the importance of safety and vigilance, both on the roads and in daily activities.
