Manga: The faithful of evangelical churches and missions gathered at the Apostolic Temple Emmanuel Church in Manga for a significant spiritual event from Thursday, September 11 to Saturday, September 13, 2025. This event marked the 13th edition of the fasting and prayer program focusing on praying for the nation, social cohesion, peace, and the edification of the body of Christ.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the gathering was themed “The power of collective prayer” and featured biblical teachings, intense prayer sessions, and a strong mobilization of churchgoers. During the official opening, Julien Ou©draogo, the High Commissioner of Zoundw©ogo, conveyed greetings and recognition from Yvette Nacoulma, the Governor of the Nazinon region. Ou©draogo commended the participants for their dedication to the nation’s cause and emphasized that unity is key to overcoming Burkina Faso’s challenges.
A highlight of the event was a special prayer delivered by Dr. Vincent Ilboudo, president of the Evangelical Churches and Missions of Burkina Faso, for the authorities and the nation. Emmanuel Kafando, the church’s senior pastor, expressed his satisfaction with the program’s successful execution and praised the congregation’s active participation.
