Music, dance and theater enlivened the central event of the 49th anniversary of the creation of the Angola Press News Agency (ANGOP-EP), celebrated this Wednesday (30 October).The moment of celebration took place at the Palácio de Ferro, in Luanda, in the presence of the Secretary of State for Social Communication, Nuno Caldas.The musicians Zé Maria Boite and Caló de Jesus were the first to perform, followed by the theatre group Julu who, with their peculiar form, paid tribute to the professionals of the only news agency in the country.In a festive atmosphere, ANGOP professionals danced rebita and kabetula to the music of Lurdes Van-Dúnem and África Negra.To keep the moment from getting cold, musician Miguel Buila took to the stage with 'Masuela', 'Oração da minha mãe' and 'Victoria', followed by the group Yaka who danced to songs by 'Gingas do Maculusso'.Dom Caetano, a former ANGOP journalist, took the stage by storm, 'forcing' those present to dance with 'Adeus a hora da partirda' and 'Vizinho'. With 'Uejia Ki Usokana', the musician closed the performance.The gathering ended around 8 pm.ANGOP was created in July 1975, under the name Agência Nacional Angola Press (ANAP).At first, his work was distributed in the form of a printed bulletin, until, on October 30th of the same year, he launched his first telegraphic dispatch.In 1991, he decided to broadcast his work 24 hours a day and also introduced innovations in editorial and technical plans.Source: Angola Press News Agency
