Teso South: Parents are being urged to remain vigilant over the school holidays to ensure the safety and well-being of their children. Teso South Member of Parliament Mary Emaase emphasized the importance of parental supervision during a church event at Amongura Sub Parish on Sunday.According to Kenya News Agency, Emaase highlighted the potential dangers that long holidays can pose to young people, including peer pressure and drug abuse. She advised parents to carefully monitor their children's activities to mitigate these risks.In addition to her call for increased parental oversight, Emaase encouraged community participation in the ongoing SHA registration exercise. She underscored its critical role in facilitating access to health services and dismissed rumors suggesting that the registration was aimed at collecting personal information for the 2027 General Elections as unfounded and misleading.Addressing the community, Emaase stated, "Do not be misled by propaganda that SHA registration is a way of collecting personal information for election rigging." Her remarks aimed to reassure residents and promote the benefits of the registration initiative.
